Girls Served

• 95% of Girls Incorporated girls will be the first in their families to attend college.
• In 2010, Girls Incorporated of Orange County served 4,790 girls through direct and comprehensive programs or through one-time events or workshops.
• We currently provide programs at 54 sites. In 2002, we provided programs at just 12 sites – an increase of 350%!
• 16% of the girls we serve are ages 5/6 to 8, 23% are ages 9 to 11, 35% are ages 12 to 14, and 27% are ages 15 to 18.
• 53% of the girls we serve are Hispanic or Latina. 20% are Caucasian, 3% are multi-racial, 2% are African American, 4% are Asian American or Pacific Islander and 18% are from other races.
• 47% of the girls we serve come from single-parent homes.
• 66% come from families with annual incomes of $25,000 or less.
