Engineering and Math

Program your own robot. Build your dream roller coaster. Design and code your own mobile app. Not all STEM education takes place at school.

Our hands-on after school and summer Science, Technology, Engineering and Math programs inspire girls while teaching them valuable skills. Girls Inc. STEM activities create an environment in which girls are encouraged to explore their STEM interests through fun, accessible, and interactive activities.

STEM Programs Include:

Imagine Science FUN-gineering – With a fun hands-on approach, FUN-gineering explores the engineering design process, rocketry and aerospace engineering, zip lines and game design.

STEM Success – This hands-on STEM after school program covers topics including circuitry, computer science, robotics and engineering. Sessions encourage collaboration between peers, provide opportunities for girls to problem-solve their way through challenges, and offers access to real women working in STEM fields related to their in-class projects.

Robotics – Students learn to code as they program a NAO humanoid robot to do a series of complex dance moves! Students will use Choreographer software, in small groups, to develop skills in STEM, collaboration and creative expression.

Eureka! – During Eureka! STEM girls will dive into a different STEM field or concept as they complete hands-on activities centered around a weekly theme. Past themes include Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Theme Park Design and a CSI week when girls analyze evidence to solve a camp “crime”.
