Volunteers

Volunteers play a key role at Girls Incorporated of Orange County. In 2009, more than 1,500 volunteers helped deliver our programs and resources to the girls we serve.

There are a variety of ways to participate as a volunteer, including:

  • Assisting with math, science, technology and economic literacy classes
  • Facilitating outdoor sports programs
  • Coordinating a music program or activity
  • Organizing specialty workshops for girls

We have opportunities for corporate and community members to volunteer, as well as internship opportunities for high school, college, and graduate school students.

Those interested in volunteering should plan to attend one of our monthly volunteer training workshops. These workshops are held on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at our Main Center during the academic school year. Summer training workshops (June-August) are held on Saturdays. Please contact Ryn Schneider, Volunteer Program Specialist, to reserve your attendance at the next meeting (rschneider@girlsinc-oc.org).

Volunteers can play a role at either the Main Center or one of our after-school sites. Click here to learn more about our specific programs. To download a copy of our Volunteer Application, click here:
