Girls Incorporated of Orange County is at the heart of girls’ lives and at the forefront of the girls’ rights movement. We are an affiliate of Girls Incorporated national organization, the leader in research, programming, public education and advocacy for girls.
We provide girls with gender-specific programming letting them focus on their real interests, at their own pace, free from distractions and comparisons. We help girls prepare for interesting work and economic independence, teaching them to take appropriate risks and to strive freely. Our girls learn to resist gender stereotypes, express themselves with originality and enthusiasm, and to take pride in their success.
Girls Incorporated of Orange County gives every girl the life skills she needs to achieve her dreams. Grounded in research, tested in the field, and delivered by trained facilitators, our award-winning programs address:
- Math and science education
- Health and relationships
- Peer pressure
- Substance abuse prevention
- Media literacy
- Economic literacy
- Violence prevention
- Sports participation
- Civic engagement
In 2007, we served over 4,500 girls in Orange County at our Center located in Costa Mesa and at 48 outreach sites. However, for every girl we served there are 64 others who need our help. With your support, we can help more Orange County girls.
